Description

Product Description

Build a distinctive Japanese training aircraft with this vintage Nichimo 1:48 Tachikawa Ki-9 Type 95-1 Otsu “Spruce” plastic model kit. The two-seat biplane is moulded primarily in orange plastic and includes decals for several Imperial Japanese Army flying schools, together with the original instruction sheet. Also known in Japan as the Akatonbo, or “Red Dragonfly”, the Ki-9 served as an intermediate military trainer. This discontinued Japanese-made kit is an appealing project for experienced aircraft modellers and collectors of vintage model kits. Assembly, painting and rigging are required. Please review the photographs carefully, particularly the substantial tearing and storage wear affecting the original box.
